Bici is an Italian Restaurant on the corner of Third Street South and Fifth Avenue South in Naples, FL. Bici (bicicletta) is an Italian work for bicycle. The Naples, FL restaurant is part of a group of Bici restaurants that span the globe from San Diego to Dubai. I love to ride my bicycle for exercise so the name of this establishment is appealing to me.
Happy hour is in the bar everyday from 4-6 P.M. There are a number of tables in the bar area to sit at as well.
They have a very nice selection of snacks which are gratis during happy hour.
Among the offers that day were salami (Salami), mortadella (Mortadella), and grilled bread with a tomato salad to make bruschetta (Bruschetta). What looked like gaeta (Gaeta Olives) olives and green olives were also served.
Wines by the glass are 50% off! My dining companion chose a French rose, Whispering Angel (Whispering Angel).
I choose a Tilia Chardonnay from Argentina (Tilia Chardonnay).
Although I thought the rose was better, not bad for $6 and $3.50 a glass for the rose and Chardonnay, respectively, at happy hour prices.
As I mentioned in an earlier post, summertime is choc-full-o' values at many establishments in Naples. Bici is no exception. I have ordered this a few times last year but they have a prix fixe menu right now that features a 3 course meal with a glass of wine for $24.
At present, it's limited to certain times. Last year, at some point, this menu was available all night. Let's hope they continue that in 2013.
